I’m 42 years old, married and a proud father of three daughters. I’m also a french photographer in Nantes specialized in wedding photography. My style is inspired by the unobtrusive documentary reportage. I believe in the importance of prints and photography in our life and chose to dedicate my work to witness these moments.
I am based in Nantes in the West of France, and I travel throughout the country and abroad. I lived abroad for 7 years (UK and Netherlands) and love speaking English.
My goal is to make you re-live this day for many years without forgetting the details which make it so special. It is really important to me that you are happy and moved by your photos.
Choosing the right wedding photographer goes beyond just taking good photos; it’s about storytelling. A wedding is filled with countless unplanned moments, emotions, and interactions that need to be captured in their most natural form. This is where the concept of photojournalism, or reportage photography, becomes crucial. A photographer with a documentary approach will be able to follow the flow of the day unobtrusively, capturing candid moments that are often missed. They anticipate key moments — from the subtle glances to the bursts of laughter — all while managing changing light conditions and the dynamic nature of the event.
Natural lighting is often unpredictable, from the bright sunlight during an outdoor ceremony to the dim, warm glow of an evening reception. A skilled photographer understands how to adapt to these conditions, using light to enhance the beauty of the couple and the atmosphere of the moment. Moreover, weddings feature real people, not models who are used to posing, which makes the ability to capture authentic emotions and interactions even more valuable.
The reportage style not only ensures that no moment goes unnoticed but also creates a visual narrative that reflects the true essence of the day. Instead of staged or posed photos, it’s about capturing real stories: the bride’s excitement as she prepares, the tearful embrace of a parent, the joy on the dance floor. A photographer who masters this approach can transform a wedding album into a timeless documentary, where every image speaks of a moment, an emotion, or a relationship.
In essence, the right photographer doesn’t just take pictures—they tell the story of your day with depth, emotion, and artistry, preserving your memories in a way that feels as real and special as the day itself.
